We both grew up in fairly agnostic and impartial families as it relates to Christianity or religion. After five years of marriage, we moved to Japan (while in the United States Navy) where, through the influence of a Baptist preacher, we heard the Gospel from the Bible for the first time and understood our sin condition in relation to Christ. We accepted the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ in May of 1993, and our lives were changed from that moment forward.

What does our church mean to you?
Church is a God-given institution that provides a place of fellowship, teaching, and instruction from the Word of God. Without the influences that church provides in our lives, we would not be equipped for past and future challenges as Christians. In addition, strength, joy, and knowledge come from attending church and being under the preaching and teaching of the Bible. Church also reiterates the education of Godly principles and truths as we work on raising our children. Without this constant confirmation, it would prove to be an even greater challenge in this present world and time to instill Christ honoring characteristics in our children. We are so very thankful for a strong Baptist church such as North Valley.
