In March 2004 CNBC poll asked, “Should the words ‘under God’ be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance?”

Of the 231,980 responses, 15% sais yes, and 85% no.

In November of 2005, a similar poll by MSNBC asked, “Should the motto ‘In God We Trust’ be removed from U.S. currency?” Of the 17,811,157 responses given by October 28, 2009, 11% said the motto should be removed, and 89% said it should be retained.

Since it appears that most Americans are not in favor of removing God from either the Pledge or our currency, one must consider why the media seems to promote the opinions of the definite minority that is “offended” by the use of His name in either place.
