These are indeed exciting days here on the campus of Golden State Baptist College! We are in the midst of our annual Graduation Week celebrations with preaching and music contests, special guests in chapel each day, and many activities throughout the week. Of course, everyone is looking forward with great anticipation to our 2009 Commencement Exercises on Friday, May 8, at 7:00 PM in the main auditorium of the great North Valley Baptist Church. That night our graduates will walk across the platform and receive their diplomas with their friends, family, and pastors looking on; and many will be honored for outstanding achievement during their days as students.
Our faculty and staff are incredibly proud of the class of 2009, and we are happy to see them pass this great milestone in their lives and go out into the ministry. At the same time we are sad to see them go, because we will miss having them here on campus on a day-to-day basis. We have watched them grow over the years, and we have seen God do some wonderful things in their lives. What a blessing to know they are following God’s call and going out from this place to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
